Brian evolved with his diet

In 2018, after battling severe fatigue, digestive pain, and inflammation, Brian was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease. After just 2 months on a low-inflammation elimination diet (Autoimmune Protocol), he became symptom-free without medication by simply avoiding the foods that triggered him!

However, committing to the diet was difficult without enough time, money, or cooking skills. He missed his favorite mealtime flavors – specifically Chicken Tikka Masala. So, he went on a quest to find someone who could make an AIP-compliant Tikka Masala dish.

Introducing...Chef Suhan

Suhan is a classically trained NYC chef with unbeatable experience. He cooked at Michelin-starred restaurants, led production as executive chef of Korilla BBQ, and later at the Executive Dining Program at JP Morgan’s headquarters. He successfully recreated Chicken Tikka Masala to be AIP-compliant, allergen-free, and unbeatably delicious!

Brian and Suhan quickly discovered a shared mission to bring clean, restricted diet compliant, globally inspired sauces to market for everyone to enjoy! This was the beginning of Get Saucy™.

2005-2009

Suhan was a Marine veteran who underwent major surgery due to injuries in Iraq. He developed IBS symptoms following antibiotic treatments and had to change his diet to reduce inflammation. He decided to go to culinary school during his recovery.

Suhan cooked at Michelin-starred restaurants, led production as executive chef of Korilla BBQ, and later at the Executive Dining Program at JP Morgan’s headquarters in New York City.

Brian started having digestive issues and tried keeping a food journal and eliminating foods one at a time with limited success.

SEPT 2018

Brian was diagnosed with Crohn's disease. He decided to forgo medication and go on the Autoimmune Protocol Diet (AIP).

2 Months Later

Brian’s symptoms were resolved and his inflammation was reduced by over 90%. His doctors were shocked! Then he hired a personal trainer and doubled his protein intake to build himself back up.

These lifestyle and diet changes made him stronger and healthier than before he started having digestive issues! He could finally start doing the things he loved again, like sailing!

2021 - OCT 2023

After several years investing so much time and energy cooking for himself, Brian talked to chefs about the AIP diet and even worked with several chefs. He still found that healthy, anti-inflammatory food lacked flavor. The pros? The food improved and he saved time. The cons? It was expensive and still many flavors were out of reach.

Brian met Suhan and discussed the vision of creating sauces that would make healthy food flavorful and accessible to all.

Suhan successfully developed the first 6 sauces that were allergen-friendly, additive-free, delicious, affordable, and convenient for faster cooking. Brian and Suhan onboard teams to bring these sauces to market for the world to enjoy!

We finalized our Get Saucy™ branding, name, and packaging!

APRIL 2024-JUNE 2024

We were turned away by 300 co-manufacturers who said it was “impossible” to make our sauces with organic ingredients. So we decided to do it ourselves by partnering with Certified Organic sustainable farms and small, women-owned manufacturing companies. Quality comes first.

JULY 2024

We secured our trademarks, produced our first video, and produced our first sample run of the Marinara, Tikka Masala, and BBQ Sauce. Suhan developed the recipe for our first seasoning, taco seasoning. We submitted our first grant to the USDA NIFA.

AUGUST 2024-NOV 2024

Secured sponsorships with the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation, The Ehlers-Danlos Society, Sjögren's Foundation, and Autoimmune Wellness. We produced our 2nd trial run of the Marinara. We started working with Premier Press on custom boxes. We launched our Amazon Storefront. We started working on additional federal grants.
